Betty Norstuen

Betty Norstuen, age 81, of Fosston, MN, passed away on Friday, December 1st, at Essentia First Care Living Center in Fosston. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 4th, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Lengby, MN, with the Rev. Gene Lilienthal officiating. Interment will be in Froen Cemetery, rural Fosston. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service on Monday at the church. Arrangements are with the Carlin Funeral Home of Fosston and messages of condolence may be sent at www.carlinfuneral.com.Betty Ann Norstuen was born on June 12, 1936 in Fosston, Minnesota to parents Halvor and Gena Myhrum Norstuen. She grew up in Fosston and graduated from Fosston High School. She began work at Francene's Variety in Fosston. She was offered a job at Farmer's State Bank in Fosston by L. Granum at the age of 19. She subsequently worked there for over 36 years until her retirement. In her retirement years, she loved working on her flower beds at her home in Fosston. She entered assisted living in 2012 and, since 2013, has resided at Essentia First Care Living Center. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Lengby.Survivors include cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and infant brother, Harlowe.
