COVID-19 Update

During the COVID-19 health crisis, it is recommended by the CDC and Minnesota Department of Health that 10 people or less attend gatherings for the safety of the public. This is also true for funeral and memorial services. There is currently no known risk associated with being in the same room at a funeral or visitation service with the body of someone who has died of COVID-19.

So, at this point, if there is a service being physically held, it will be a private family service. For the time being there will be no public services. Some funeral/memorial services will be able to be seen live via Facebook Live or our website. Others may be postponed until the crisis fades and restrictions are eased. This will be a decision made by each individual family so please watch our Facebook page, website, or give us a call.

With that being said, what do we do to support our family and friends in their grief?

  1. Call and talk to the family on the phone or through the use of other technology.
  2. Use the online guestbook to sign and share a condolence.
  3. Send a card in the mail to the funeral home (417 6th St. NE, Fosston, MN 56542). We will see that it gets to the family.
  4. Send flowers. Our local florists do a wonderful job! Flowers are good for the soul! However, just a reminder, if the service has been planned "for a later date", please order after the day and time has been released so they can be at the service. Or, if you wish, order an arrangement to be sent directly to the family through the florist.

Service times will be posted on our website/Facebook and read on KKCQ as they become available.

As always, we will be here to help.
