Aimee Cole

August 23, 1922 — December 5, 2017

Aimee Marion Cole went home to be with the Lord on December 5, 2017 under the loving watch of doctors and nurses at Essentia Health Hospital. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 8th, at Bethel Assembly Church in Fosston with Pastor Seth Johnson officiating. Interment was held in Wildwood Cemetery, Pillager, MN. Family will greet friends for one hour before the service on Friday at the church. Arrangements are with the Carlin Funeral Home of Fosston and messages of condolence may be sent at www.carlinfuneral.com. She was born on Aug 23, 1922 to Anton and Mattie Ellefson in Fosston, MN. Aimee had two brothers Kermit and Wendell Ellefson and two foster sisters Mae and Maybelle Anderson. She graduated from Fosston High School in 1941. After graduation, she moved to Minneapolis and attended North Central Bible College where she met the love of her life, Laurel (Ed) Cole. They were married for 40 years, until Ed's untimely death in 1983. Aimee held several different jobs in her lifetime which included working at a paper mill, defense plant, physical therapy assistant and a ministers' wife. As a ministers' wife, they pastored in Verndale MN and also in Mason City IA .After Ed's death in 1983, Aimee moved back to Fosston and became involved in ministry at Bethel Assembly. There she was involved in singing, ladies prayer group and also was the church photographer for many years. She also started a widow and widower's group held in her home called SHARE (Sharing Hurts and Receiving Encouragement. She was a part of a special singing group that performed at several local churches. She presently resided at Cornerstone Apartments where she formed many friendships with the residents and staff there. Her love for God and devotion to her family was phenomenal. Ministry was her life and she was a prayer warrior up until her passing. All who knew her loved her and she will be greatly missed by all. Earth's loss is Heaven's gain!She was preceded in death by her parents, Anton and Mattie Ellefson, her brothers, Kermit Ellefson and Wendell Ellefson, both of her foster sisters, Mae and Maybelle, her precious husband, Ed and numerous loved ones. She is survived by her three children, Dave (Linda) Cole, Linda (Steve) Robins, and Deb (Sandy) Green along with 6 grandchildren Mike Cole, Julie Cole, Jeff ( Elaina) Robins, Joe Robins, Jason (Jamie) Green, and Joel Green. There are also 5 great grandchildren Brianna and Tara Robins, Jaida and Jenna Green and Alexandria Cole and many loved ones.
