Arthur Rudh

Arthur Rudh, age 77, from rural Lengby, Minnesota passed away on Wednesday, September 12th at his home at Island Lake. Memorial services will be on Monday, September 17th at 12:00 PM at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis attended by immediate family members.Arthur C. Rudh was born on August 27, 1930 in Mound, Minnesota to parents Rudolph and Elizabeth (Schneider) Rudh. He grew up in the Wayzata and Chanhassen, Minnesota areas and graduated from Mt. Si High School in the State of Washington.He enlisted in the U.S. Air Force on February 19, 1952 and served as an aircraft mechanic at many Air Force Bases in the United States and overseas.He was married to Joan Coley on June 30, 1956 in Edmonds, Washington and they traveled extensively through the United States and Europe. He retired from the Air Force as a Master Sergeant on January 31, 1973 and he and his family made their home at Island Lake near Lengby. Arthur worked for a number of years as caretaker at Midway Nursing Home in Fosston and retired to enjoy spending time at the lake gardening, boating, and working with metal and wood.Survivors include his wife, Joan of rural Lengby; two daughters, Patricia (Dan) Medeiros of New Bedford, MA and Edie (Mitch) Hilliard of Lengby; three sons, Larry (Leslie) Rudh of Coon Rapids, MN, Daniel Rudh of Foley, MN and James Rudh of rural Lengby; six grandchildren, Jennifer and Jamie Guilette, Michael, Randy and Jason Rudh, and Steven Rudh; five great grandchildren; one brother, Robert Rudh of Plymouth, MN; and one sister, Carol Peters of Renton, WA.He was preceded in death by his parents; and one sister, Florence Tolman of California.
