Carl graduated from Onamia High School in 1980. Following his graduation he began logging with his father and brother Ron. On August 23, 1991 he was united in marriage to Kelli Ann Sharp, who he described as his Red Headed Firecracker. The couple resided in Alexandria before moving to Fosston and then permanently residing in Erskine. Carl worked for Northern Milks in Fosston, MN where he was a dryer operator for 6 years. He then proceeded to work in the construction field and log home building before heading out to Williston, ND for 2.5 years, before deciding to come home and be closer to his family and work at the Lakeside Building Center and Joes Auto in Erskine. He was a fun loving man with a big heart. He loved to laugh, tell jokes, share stories and spend time with his family. His sense of humor was undeniable. He loved to rummage sale; work out in his garage, and loved fishing! Carl was the kind of man who would befriend the person pumping gas next to him, lend a helping hand to anyone in need, and tell a joke to cheer up anybody having a bad day. Carls grandchildren meant the world to him. He was a devoted husband, amazing father and grandfather and a great friend. He loved life. His fun-loving spirit and sense of humor will be forever remembered. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
