Corann Fladhammer, age 93, of Erskine, MN, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 4th, at Essentia Health Hospital in Fosston. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 8th, at Faith Lutheran Church in Mentor with the Rev. Michael Sletto officiating. Interment will be in Faith Lutheran Cemetery, Mentor. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service on Thursday at the church. Corann was born in Dorothy, Minnesota on November 8, 1928, to Ludvig and Cora (Dahl) Gulsvig. She attended school in Plummer, Minnesota. Corann was united in marriage to Harold Fladhammer on October 15, 1948, in Oklee, Minnesota. They raised their family in Mentor, Minnesota.
Corann was known for her dedication to family and friends. Her friends were important to her and checking in over a cup of coffee was a tradition for many years.
In addition to her many family commitments, she worked for the Pioneer Memorial Care Center, Mentor Public School and Tri-Valley Opportunity Council. In her later years, she especially enjoyed her role at the Win-E-Mac Public School where she was able to share her love of math with the students.
Corann passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 4, 2022, at Essentia Health Hospital in Fosston at the age of 93 years.
She was a loving mother to four children, Karen (Lorry) Stensrud of Lake Forest, IL, Larry (Joan) Fladhammer of Mentor, MN, Patricia (Jim) Hanson of Fargo, ND, and Ronald Fladhammer of Joliet, IL. She was an adoring grandmother to Brock and Judd Stensrud, Ben Fladhammer and Erik (Beth) Fladhammer, Luke Hanson, Britta (Victor) Meza, and Greta and Reid Fladhammer. Corann was blessed with 10 great grandchildren and they gave her immense joy in her life, Miles and Benjamin Stensrud, Kara Stensrud, Remy Hanson, Victor and Stella Meza, and Jacob, Kora, Micah and Logan Fladhammer.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold A. Fladhammer; her brothers, Arnold and Reynold Gulsvig and infant, Merle; and sisters, Ethel Pederson, Mildred Philipp and infants, Ella Mae and Marian.
