Corey Myhre

Corey Lee Myhre, age 32, of Crookston, MN, passed away unexpectedly on Monday (April 8th) in Crookston. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday (April 13th) at Hope Lutheran Church in Fosston with the Rev. Paul Magelssen officiating. Interment will be in Emardville Cemetery, Plummer, MN at a later date. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. prayer service on Friday (April 12th) at the Carlin-Hoialmen Funeral Home in Fosston. There will also be reviewal for one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the church. Arrangements are with the Carlin-Hoialmen Funeral Home of Fosston and messages of condolence may be sent at carlinhoialmen.com.Corey Lee Myhre was born on November 26, 1980 in Grand Forks, North Dakota to parents David and Terry (Fjerstad) Myhre. Corey lived in McIntosh, Minnesota through the sixth grade, attending Win-E-Mac school. His family then moved to Kelliher, Minnesota where he attended Kelliher High School, graduating in 1999. During his high school years, Corey participated in football and basketball. Following graduation from high school, he worked at Arctic Cat in Thief River Falls, Minnesota for a couple of years and then worked numerous other jobs in the area. Currently, Corey was living in Crookston, Minnesota and was employed at Dee, Inc. of Crookston. Despite his many struggles, his charisma managed to shine and is evident of all the friends who treasured his company.Corey liked hunting and fishing, watching sports on tv and MTV. He loved spending time with his nephews, Kale, Aylin, Kadin and Bradley and his many cousins. He was also a caring brother to his sister, Nicole, as she thought of him as her "therapist". Corey had fond memories of playing cards and games (especially Aggravation) at Grandma Fjerstad's house. He will be dearly missed by his family and many friends.Survivors include his mother, Terry Myhre (Jamie Brown) of Walker, MN; his father, David Myhre of Thief River Falls, MN; one sister, Nicole Myhre (Jerrod Hoaas) of Fargo, ND; and brother, Eric (Bambi) Myhre of Thief River Falls, MN; his grandfather, Albert Anderson of Erskine, MN; half brother, Tyler Lindner of Mizpah, MN; and half sister, Kayla Hovland of Dilworth, MN. Nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins also survive.He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Sidney and Dorothy Myhre; maternal grandparents, Francis and Marion Fjerstad; his aunt, Carolyn "Nippy" Knutson; uncle, Larry Myhre; and cousin, Kyle Myhre.Honorary Pallbearers will be all of Corey's cousins.Active Pallbearers will be Ryan Walker, Brian Branchaud, Tyrone Benson, Patrick O'Niel, Billy Nelson, Brandon Pilon and Jason Easley.
