Corrine Thelma Solheim was born on October 28, 1944 in Thief River Falls, Minnesota to parents Palmer and Bertha (Klove) Solheim. She was raised on the family farm eight miles north of Trail, attended Bethany Lutheran Church, and went to school through the eighth grade in Oklee, Minnesota.
Corrine lived with her parents on the farm until moving to Thief River Falls. She lived with her aunt, Selma, for a short time and then, in 1975, relocated to a Board and Care in town. She worked at the ODC and DAC in Thief River Falls. She lived and worked in Thief River Falls until 1988 when she moved to the REM home in East Grand Forks, Minnesota.
Due to health reasons, Corrine moved to Fair Meadow Nursing Home in Fertile late 2016 where she was an active resident and took part in as many activities as she could. She loved to color and enjoyed counting and sorting. She also liked the games Yahtzee, Sorry, and Uno (games she grew up with). She enjoyed Beach Boys music or any music with a good beat and liked to dance. One of her favorite things to do was going out to eat. Her favorite food was chicken.
Corrine lived and loved life above her challenges. She loved being around her family and attending family gatherings of any kind. She was truly a “glue” that kept her family close all these years.
