David Berger

David Berger, age 79 of Erskine, MN passed away on Tuesday, August 18th at Pioneer Memorial Care Center at Erskine. Memorial services will be held on Friday, August 28th at 2:00 PM at Grace Lutheran Church in Erskine with Rev. Timothy Lundeen officiating. Interment of cremains will be at Fairview Cemetery, rural Erskine. The Carlin-Hoialmen Funeral Home of Erskine is in charge of the arrangements.David Berger was born April 28, 1936 to parents George and Julia Berger in Gonvick, Minnesota where he was baptized. He was confirmed in the Lutheran faith in Erskine, Minnesota. David spent his early years in Gonvick and Erskine. He entered the Air Force in 1955 where he served as an office clerk. After twenty years in the military, David retired from the service.After many years living in the Minneapolis area, he moved back to Erskine and lived in the family home in Erskine with his brother, Joe. Later he purchased a house in Erskine where he and his son, Robbie, resided. David enjoyed his favorite pastime, fishing. He also was talented in working with small machinery. Due to health problems, David entered into the Pioneer Memorial Care Center in 2014. On Tuesday, August 18, 2015, David Berger passed away at the age of 79.David is survived by his former wife, Karen; two sons, Bruce and Robbie; brother Dennis Berger of Erskine; sisters-in-law, Marge Berger of Erskine and Gail Berger of Waconia, Minnesota; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Joe, Miles, and Robert; and one son, John.
