PLEASE NOTE THAT THE SERVICE IS ON SATURDAY, AUGUST 23RD.Della Abeldgaard, age 64, of Fosston, MN, passed away on Friday (August 1st) at her home in Fosston. A memorial gathering will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday (August 23rd) at the V.F.W. Club in Lengby, MN. The Carlin-Hoialmen Funeral Home of Fosston assisted with the arrangements and messages of condolence may be sent at carlinhoialmen.com.Della Minnie Lease was born on November 20, 1949 in St. Cloud, Minnesota to parents Robert and Maude Counter Lease. She grew up in Dilworth, Minnesota and attended school in that area. She then worked various jobs in the Fargo, North Dakota area before her marriage to Robert Sell on December 16, 1967. They lived and raised their family in north Fargo. Robert passed away on August 14, 1984. After Robert's passing, Della lived in West Fargo for the next eight years. Then, in 1992, she moved to Island Lake near Lengby, Minnesota where she owned and operated the Island Lake Resort. She was married to Lloyd Abeldgaard on July 25, 1998 and together they resided in Lengby. Della was diagnosed with cancer on December 24, 2012 and Lloyd passed away on October 9, 2013. Della liked to garden and tend to flowers. She also enjoyed going to the casino and visiting by the campfire with family and friends. She will be dearly missed.Della passed away on Friday, August 1, 2014 at her home in Fosston at the age of 64 years, eight months and 12 days. Survivors include six children, Robert Sell of Fargo, Ronald (Stacey) Sell of West Fargo, Larry Sell of Fosston, Kristie (Jason) Sell-Krei of West Fargo, Donald Sell of Fargo, and Jonathan Sell of Fosston; seven grandchildren, Jeremy, Shayna, Alexie, Alexander, Michael, Brian, and Kyle; siblings, Jim (Linda) Lease of Fargo, Millard Lease of Iowa, and Carla (Alan) Buchholz of Fargo. Nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Robert Sell and Lloyd Abeldgaard; one brother, Herbert Lease; and an infant sister, Natalie Haugen.
