Dorothy Gustafson Dockter, age 95, of McIntosh, MN and Crookston, MN, passed away on Friday, August 28th, at the Villa St. Vincent Nursing Home in Crookston, MN. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 5th, at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in McIntosh with the Rev. Bill Reck officiating. Interment will be in Our Savior's Lutheran Cemetery, McIntosh. Family will greet friends for one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the church. Arrangements are with the Carlin-Hoialmen Funeral Home, serving McIntosh and messages of condolence may be shared at www.carlinhoialmen.com.Dorothy Mayme Lindblad was born on February 29, 1920 to Harold and Elizabeth (O'Brien) Lindblad in McIntosh, Minnesota. She was baptized in Fosston and confirmed by Rev. Megorden at Hope Lutheran Church in Fosston. She grew up and attended school in McIntosh, graduating in 1938.She was united in marriage to Harvey E. Gustafson on September 7, 1940 by Rev. Megorden in Fosston. They lived one and a half years in Fosston and one year in Mentor before returning to McIntosh in 1943 where they made their home.They had four children: Harold "Mokey", Paul, Deborah and Michael. She was employed at the Gamble's Store, and in 1963 she began working for the McIntosh Times and as a secretary for F.C.I.C. She retired in December of 1980.On October 11, 1980 she was united in marriage to Albert Dockter at Our Savior's Lutheran Church.They lived in McIntosh in the summer and in Donna, Texas in the winter months. They both loved to travel and visited all parts of the United States plus covering a good part of Europe.The last eight years of her life were spent in Crookston at the Summerfield Apartments and Summit Assisted Living.Her addictions were gardening, and making scrapbooks and photo albums - of which she had plenty.She is survived by her four children, Harold "Mokey" (Ione) of Grand Forks, ND, Paul (Julie) of Remsen, IA, Deborah (John) Perrone of Schertz, TX, and Michael of Frankfort, KY; one stepson, Alan (Veronica) of Brooklyn Park, MN; five grandchildren, Paula (Larry) Larsen, Shane (Kim) Gustafson, Dominic (Carissa) Perrone, Michael Perrone and Katie Gustafson; three step grandsons, Todd (Bev), Bradley (Sharon), and Jon (Cathy); four great grandchildren, Andrew, Jonathan, Nicholas, and Audrina; and six step great grandchildren, Jeffrey, John, Kayla, Luke, Cole, and Kate; special friend, Dave Bennett and many nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her first husband, Harvey (1976); her second husband, Albert (2001); her parents; three sisters, MaDonna "Marlys" Downing, Kathryn "Kitty" Plese and Peggy Randall; and brothers-in-law.
