Elaine Ohren, age 81, of Fosston, MN, passed away on Monday, May 18th, at Essentia First Care Living Center in Fosston. Private family services will be held at a later date. Gertrude Elaine (Fealy) Ohren was born on November 27, 1944, in Erskine, Minnesota to parents Judd and Rose (Payment) Fealy. She was baptized and confirmed at Grace Lutheran Church in Erskine and graduated from Erskine High School in 1962.

Elaine was united in marriage to Warren Ohren on May 16, 1964, at Grace Lutheran Church. To this union two sons were born, Larry and Dennis. They lived in Crookston, Minnesota where Elaine worked at Bell Telephone. They moved to Erskine for several years and, in 1977, to their home south of Fosston.

Elaine worked as a dietary aide at Pioneer Memorial Care Center for over 20 years and then for two years in the deli at the Shooting Star Casino.

She liked to sew and was a very good seamstress. She also enjoyed crocheting, quilting and was a good cook.

Elaine passed away on Monday, May 18, 2026, just two days after her 62nd wedding anniversary, at the age of 81 years.

Survivors include her husband, Warren, of Fosston; two sons, Larry (Pat) of Thief River Falls, MN, and Dennis (Jeanne) of Victoria, MN; one sister, Delores Syverson of Omaha, NE; sister-in-law, Sharon Fealy of Halstad, MN; and brother-in-law, Lee Schaller of Bolingbrook, IL. Nieces, nephews and cousins; and her dear cat, Bella.

She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Duane Fealy, Jane Hole, and Betty Schaller; and brothers-in-law, Douglas Hole and Floyd Syverson.
