Evelyn Bergerson, age 86, of Gully, MN, passed away on Thursday, September 15th, at Essentia Health Hospital in Fosston. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 24th, at Lund Lutheran Church in Gully with Dawn Hanson officiating. Interment will be in Bethany Lutheran Cemetery, rural Gully. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. prayer service on Friday, September 23rd, at the Carlin-Hoialmen Funeral Home in Fosston. There will also be reviewal for one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the church. Arrangements are with the Carlin-Hoialmen Funeral Home of Fosston and messages of condolence may be sent at www.carlinhoialmen.com. Evelyn Idella (Peterson)Bergerson was born on June 15, 1930 in Polk County, MN the daughter of Herman and Marie (Hillestad)Peterson. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith and was a lifelong member of Bethany Lutheran Church. She attended country schools in Johnson Township. On October 14, 1950 she married Kenneth Bergerson at Gully, MN. To this union nine children were born. Evelyn was a loving wife and mother and devoted her time to raising her family and helping on the farm. As the kids grew older and went off to school, Evelyn worked various jobs including Oklee Manufacturing, Arcady Inn and Inter-County Community Council. She taught Sunday School for many years and was the treasurer for Bethany Church for more than 40 years. She was a dedicated and active member of Bethany Ladies Aid for 66 years. She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, sewing, baking and was an avid Minnesota Twins fan, even attending a Twins game in 1991 with her grandson Kent. Evelyn passed away on Thursday, September 15, 2016 at Essentia Health Hospital in Fosston at the age of 86 years, surrounded by her family. Evelyn is survived by her family, Sue Bergerson (Ambrose)Beaudoin, Brooks, MN, Carol Connell (special friend Eddie Amberson), Brooks, MN, Linda (Lloyd) Godtland, Trail, MN, Gail Van de Streek, Thief River Falls, MN, Alan Bergerson, Gonvick, MN, Julie (Randy) Horn, Gonvick, MN, Jodi (Scot) Thompson, Trail, MN, Jeremy (Cathy) Bergerson, Gully, MN. 25 grandchildren, Jessica (Todd) Muller, Rebecca (Brian) Fredrickson, Jared (Alyssa) Van de Streek, Justin (Sarah) Van de Streek, Tammi Van de Streek (special friend Jon Mansk), Melissa (Tom) Senger, Jennifer Godtland (special friend Jay Goodwin), Kent (Patti) Bergerson, Paul (Randi) Beaudoin, Kevin (Amy) Beaudoin, Christina (Jason) Leonard, Todd Bergerson, Cassondra (Brandon) Wasley, Brandon (Cheri) Bergerson, Dylan Bergerson, Jason (Christine) Horn, Jeffrey Horn, Ryan Horn (fianc Brittany Atchison), Aaron Horn, Austin Horn, Tyler Thompson, Christopher (Rachel) Thompson, Carlie, Jayden and Jacie Bergerson and 32 great grandchildren. Sisters, Bernice Thronson, Susan James, brothers, Ralph (Kathy) Peterson, LeRoy (Beverly) Peterson, brothers-in-law Duane (Leona) Bergerson, Glenn (Crystal) Bergerson, Floyd Bergerson, sisters-in-law Marlyce Kerr, Corrine Bergerson (special friend, Bernie Hanson) and Delores (Glenn) Peterson. Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth, sons Kenneth Jr. and Kevin, parents Herman and Marie Peterson, brothers, Oscar Peterson and Orville Peterson, sister Naiome Sweno and granddaughter Kimberly Hintz, and son-in-law, Bob Connell.
