Floyd UggenFloyd Uggen, 84, of Erskine, MN, passed away on Wednesday (October 18th) at the Pioneer Memorial Care Center in Erskine. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday (October 23rd) at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in McIntosh, MN with the Rev. Dr. Gerald White and Lee Hoaas officiating. Interment will be in Our Savior's Lutheran Cemetery, McIntosh. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service on Monday at the church. Arrangements are with the Carlin-Hoialmen Funeral Home, serving McIntosh.Floyd Milford Uggen was born on March 10, 1922 in Erskine, Minnesota to parents Fritz and Margaret (Johnson) Uggen. He was baptized and confirmed at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in McIntosh. Floyd farmed his entire life in the McIntosh and Erskine areas.He served on the country school board until the school consolidated in the McIntosh District. He also helped organize and build the McIntosh Potato Company Board and was a member of East Polk County Soil Conservation District for 30 years.Floyd played basketball in high school and he loved basketball and most sports. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing and nature.Floyd passed away on Wednesday, October 18, 2006 at the Pioneer Memorial Care Center in Erskine at the age of 84 years.He is survived by many cousins.He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Christ; and one sister, Alice Uggen.Honorary Pallbearers will be Kenny Hansen, Harold Thompson, Bud Stenmoen, Armond Sannes, Lee Hartel, Wayne Gustafson, Hilmer Carlson and Clifton Burslie.Active Pallbearers will be Philip Quam, Mike Hansen, Charles Svalen, Bud Kiecker, Albert Mandt, Roy Ostenaa, and Gary Frisk.Organist was Diane Boucher, soloist was Charles Svalen and a duet was sung by Sherry Hoaas and Vivian Hanson.
