Francis Bohn

Francis Bohn, age 78, of Erskine, MN, passed away on Wednesday, December 20, 2023, at Essentia Hospital in Fosston. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 29^th, at Garden Valley in Erskine with Pastor Gary Johnson officiating. Family will greet friends for one hour prior to the service on Saturday (June 29^th) at Garden Valley. Military honors will be provided by the U.S. Army Honors Team.  Francis Kent Bohn was born on March 26, 1945, in Mayville, North Dakota to parents Kenneth and Olive (Hoppe) Bohn. He was raised in Grand Forks and graduated from Central High School in 1963. He attended the University of North Dakota before enlisting in the United States Army. Upon his honorable discharge from the US Army, he was awarded the Purple Heart medal for being wounded during his service in the Vietnam War. He was also awarded the GCMDL and CIB award. He was ranked as First Lieutenant. He subsequently began is lifelong career working for the Grand Forks US Postal Service as an accountant and other positions until retirement.

In 1970 he married Pamela Burns with whom he had four children. In 1994 he married Lynn (Moran) Nelson Larson.

He enjoyed spending time at the lake waterskiing and doing other activities with many family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers David and Keith. Francis is survived by his wife Lynn, brother Kevin, his children, Rusty (Rachel) Bohn, Angie (Troy) Goulet, Amy Bohn, Chad (Kelli) Bohn, John (Jessica) Nelson, Tara (Corey) Brandt and Joseph (Corina) Larson, 12 grandchildren; Brian, Payton, Brayden, Korbin, Kaleb, Emberlin, Alexis, Kendyl, Cash, Mark, Liam, Oscar and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
