Gayle Danielson

Gayle (Kraft) Danielson, age 66, of St. Louis, MO, and formerly of Erskine, MN, passed away on Thursday, May 25th at her home after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 1st, at Grace Lutheran Church in Erskine with the Rev. Timothy Lundeen officiating. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery, rural Erskine, MN. Family will greet friends for one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at the church. Arrangements are with the Carlin Funeral Home of Erskine and messages of condolence may be sent at www.carlinfuneral.com.Gayle was born on April 7, 1951 to parents Charles and Shirley (Hamre) Kraft. She lived with her family in South Milwaukee, Wisconsin and starting school there. They then moved to a farm in rural Erskine, Minnesota in 1961. She went to school in Erskine, graduating from Erskine High School in 1969. She was confirmed at Grace Lutheran Church in Erskine. She continued her education at Bemidji State College and Moorhead State College where she graduated.She married Don Haagenson on June 1, 1973. Two children were born, a daughter, Kristen Leigh and a son, Beau Justin. She worked at Dakota Clinic in Fargo, North Dakota for a time, and also as Deputy Clerk of Court for the Federal Court in Fargo.She married Ron Danielson on August 22, 1987. They lived in Columbia, South Carolina where Gayle worked for Seca, an educational organization for remote locations. They then moved to Arizona and California and Gayle no longer worked because of health problems. She moved to St. Louis, Missouri in 2007.Gayle loved art work and stained glass and collecting recipes. She adored animals and her beloved "Molly", always at her side.She is survived by her children, Kristen (Jared) Harrison of Missoula, MT, Beau Haagenson of Bellingham, WA; one grandson, Kellen Grayson Harrison; her mother, Shirley Kraft of Erskine; brothers, Kim (Anita) Kraft and Gene (Debra) Kraft; special aunt, Marlene O'Brien; and nieces, nephews and many cousins.She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Kraft; and her brother, Jamie Kraft.
