Glenn Sannes

Glenn K. Sannes, age 82, of McIntosh and Fosston, MN passed away unexpectedly back on Monday, December 9, 2013 at Essentia Health Living Center in Fosston. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 17th at 11:00 AM at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in McIntosh with Rev. Gordon Syverson officiating. A gathering of family and friends will be held for one hour before the funeral at the church on Saturday. Interment will be at Our Savior's Lutheran Cemetery in McIntosh. All memorials, unless designated, will be given to Our Savior's Lutheran Cemetery. The Carlin-Hoialmen Funeral Home of Fosston is in charge of the arrangements, and messages of condolence may be sent at carlinhoialmen.com.Glenn, the third son of Grundy and Ella (Short) Sannes, was born in Orland, California on March 31, 1931. His name was chosen from the county in which he was born. He moved with his family back to Minnesota in the early thirties. Glenn was baptized and confirmed at Our Savior's Lutheran church in McIntosh where the family attended.Glenn attended grade and McIntosh High School, graduating in 1949. While in high school he sang in the church choir. After graduating Glenn had a calling and attended the Lutheran Bible Institute of Minneapolis. Due to illness he did not complete his studies. Returning home he farmed on the family farm east of McIntosh. He attended many Bible studies at the church over the years and one of his favorite scriptures was the 23rd Psalm.One of Glenn's favorite pastimes was going to auction sales around the area and collecting many beautiful antiques.On Monday, December 9, 2013 Glenn passed away at Essentia Health Living Center in Fosston, MN at the age of 82 years.Glenn was preceded in death by his father, Grundy; mother, Ella and oldest brother, Richard and his son Ricky. Glenn is survived by his older brother, Gene and wife, Helen Sannes; sister, Delores and husband, Robert Lind; four nephews and their families and four nieces and their families.
