Gwen Kelly, age 67, of Jordan MN, passed away on the morning of May 9th with her family by her side. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 16th, at Faith Lutheran Church in Mentor, MN, with the Rev. Michael Sletto officiating. Interment will be in First English Cemetery, rural Mentor. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the church. Arrangements are with Carlin Family Funeral Service of Erskine and messages of condolence may be shared at www.carlinfuneral.com.
Gwen, daughter of Harvey and LouAnn Underdahl was born on February 16th, 1959 in Fosston, MN. Gwen attended school in both Mentor and Fertile. She later went on to graduate from Mentor in 1977. Gwen married her true love, Curt Kelly, on February 4th, 1978 at Faith Lutheran Church. The couple was blessed with two children: Bridgette and Josh. Later, the two became loving grandparents to their pride and joy: Kadence and Bennett Kelly.
Gwen held many positions in her lifetime, most recently at The Horse and Hunt in Prior Lake, MN. Gwen loved working with and around people. She developed many lifelong relationships from her workplaces. In their free time Curt and Gwen spent their time at their lake home in McGregor, visiting family and friends around Maple Lake, taking her granddaughters and nieces on special outings, vacationing in Mexico with family and friends, and playing Bingo at the Polk County fair. Along with traveling and spending time with family, Gwen had many hobbies including letter writing, gardening, and most recently embroidery.
Gwen is survived by her husband Curtis, daughter Bridgette, son Josh, granddaughters Kadence and Bennett, sisters Genene (Luke) and Gail, brother Glen, and many nieces and nephews and she thought the world of every single one of them. Gwen's family was her priority and she leaves them with many fond memories.
Gwen was preceded in death by her parents Harvey and LouAnn, brothers Gary, George, sister ShellyAnn, in-laws Richard and Shirley, and sisters-in-law Kallene and Karen.
