JoAnn Anderson

JoAnn Anderson, age 91, of Superior, WI, and formerly of McIntosh, MN, passed away on Friday, December 8^th, at Essentia St. Mary’s Medical Center in Duluth surrounded by her family. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 16^th, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Fosston with Father JohnMelkies Suvakeen officiating. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery Hansville, rural Fosston. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service on Saturday afternoon at the church. JoAnn Anderson was born January 28, 1932, in Grand Forks, ND, to parents Pierce and Eva Daniel. She grew up and attended school in Grand Forks, ND, until moving to Erskine, MN in 1947. She graduated from Erskine High School in 1950.

She married Everett Marlyn Anderson of Erskine on August 21, 1950, and lived in various locations until moving to McIntosh, MN, in 1956. JoAnn worked for Extension service of East Polk County in McIntosh, MN, from 1970 until retiring in 1989. They had one daughter Linda.

JoAnn loved her family and enjoyed camping, shopping with Linda, sewing, quilting, flower gardening, feeding the birds, playing games with the family, and family gatherings.

She is survived by her daughter Linda; two grandsons, Jeffrey (Heather) and Jason Kahler, all of Superior, WI; great-granddaughters, Bella and Taylor Kahler; sister Dorothy (Jacques) Michienzi; and brother Don Daniel; nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Everett, sister Mary Rose, and brother Tom.
