Joyce Brinkman

Joyce Brinkman, age 64, of McIntosh, MN, passed away on Tuesday, September 22nd, at her home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, September 28th, at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in McIntosh with the Rev. Gordon Syverson and Rev. Ernest Christiansen officiating. Interment will be in Asphult Cemetery, rural McIntosh. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. prayer service on Sunday, September 27th, and for one hour prior to the service on Monday. All visitation will be held at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in McIntosh. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Pink It Forward at www.pinkitforward.net.Joyce Eileen Ramberg was born on February 10, 1951 in Crookston, Minnesota to parents Eimer and Wilma Skog Ramberg. She was baptized and confirmed at Rodnes Lutheran Church near Erskine. She grew up in Woodside Township, attended school in Mentor, and then graduated from Erskine High School. Joyce was united in marriage to James Brinkman on August 15, 1970 at Rodnes Lutheran Church. Joyce and Jim lived and raised their family in McIntosh. Joyce worked for many years as a nursing assistant and in medical records at McIntosh Manor Nursing Home and at the nursing home in Fosston. For the past five years, Joyce has been a nursing assistant in Cardiac Rehab at Essentia Health in Fosston.She was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church in McIntosh. She enjoyed gardening, knitting, and loved spending time with family, especially her grandchildren.Joyce passed away on Tuesday, September 22, 2015 at her home after a courageous battle with cancer at the age of 64 years.Survivors include three children, Jeannette (Greg) White of Jordan, MN, Jesse (Melanie) Brinkman of Rochester, MN, and John (Jessi) Brinkman of Sauk Rapids, MN; six grandchildren, Natasha and Sophie White, Sydney Brinkman, and Josiah, Daviannah and Karis Brinkman. Several cousins also survive.She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim, on November 7, 2011; and her parents.
