Leone Bursheim, age 75, of McIntosh, MN, passed away on Sunday, April 4th, at McIntosh Senior Living. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 10th, at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in McIntosh with the Rev. Gordon Syverson officiating. Interment will be in Calvary Lutheran Cemetery, Winger, MN. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the church. Leone was born May 25, 1945 in Crookston, MN. She was the daughter of Leonard and Opal (Opgrand) Bursheim. She was raised on the family farm in Polk County, MN south of Winger. MN. She attended Winger Elementary School and McIntosh High School. She graduated in 1963.
Leone was a longtime resident of McIntosh, MN. She was a custodian for many years at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in McIntosh.
Leone was baptized and confirmed at Calvary Lutheran Church in Winger, MN. She was long-time member at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in McIntosh, MN.
Leone very much enjoyed her time with her family and was always up for a ride around the area and especially enjoyed her time at the casino. She loved her animals and was thankful for her cat.
Leone is preceded in death by her parents, stepfather Albert Bjella, grandparents, her brother Lynn Bursheim and sisters Linda Geske and Lucille Dokken.
She is survived by her sister Robin Salveson of Fargo, ND and her brother Lyndon Bursheim of Crookston, MN. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be given to Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in McIntosh or to the donor’s choice.
