Lillian Jorstad, age 99, of McIntosh, MN, passed away on Friday (December 20th) at Pioneer Memorial Care Center in Erskine, MN. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday (December 28th) at the Carlin-Hoialmen Funeral Home in Fosston with the Rev. Gordon Syverson officiating. Interment will be in St. John's Cemetery, rural McIntosh, in the spring. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral home. Arrangements are with the Carlin-Hoialmen Funeral Home of Fosston and messages of condolence may be sent at carlinhoialmen.com.Lillian Cornelia Voigt was born on September 4, 1914 in Northwood, North Dakota to parents Hans Christian "Christ" and Signa Ofte Voigt. She was baptized and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church near McIntosh, attended rural school in Lessor Township, and graduated from McIntosh High School.She was married to Rolf Jorstad and they farmed and raised their family north of McIntosh. Rolf passed away in 1968. She continued to live on the farm until moving into the Cottage Apartments in McIntosh. She moved to the Country Place in Erskine and then to the Pioneer Memorial Care Center in 2004. She was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church in McIntosh.Lillian passed away on Friday, December 20, 2013 at the Pioneer Memorial Care Center in Erskine at the age of 99 years, three months and 16 days.Survivors include three children, Kenneth of Seattle, WA, Emily Browning of Bealeton, VA, and David (Jan) of Crystal River, FL; grandchildren, Cheryl, Stephen, Sheila, Terry, Jonathan and Jody; and great grandchildren; and one brother, Helmer Voigt of St. Paul, MN.She was preceded in death by her husband, Rolf; daughter, Ruth Williams; her parents; brother, Arthur Voigt; sister, Clara Voigt; and her sister-in-law, Margaret Voigt.
