Lillian Lanman, age 100, of McIntosh, MN, passed away on Friday, May 27th, at Ruth Home in Hastings, MN. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 4th, at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in McIntosh with the Rev. Ernest Christensen officiating. Interment will be in Our Savior's Lutheran Cemetery, McIntosh. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the church. Local arrangements are with the Carlin-Hoialmen Funeral Home, serving McIntosh. Messages of condolence may be expressed at www.carlinhoialmen.com.Lillian Helene Bjelke was born on June 16, 1915, in Alida, Minnesota, the daughter of Jennie (Erikson) and G. Adolph Bjelke. She was Baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. Following the death of Lillian's father (1918); her mother, brother Bjorn and Lillian sailed on the Stavangerfjord to Norway. There they resided until 1925 when they returned to their farm in Alida MN. In her early years she worked as a Nanny and as a dining room coordinator for Itasca State Park's Douglas Lodge.She was united in marriage to Arnold Revere Lanman on June 25, 1939. Together they celebrated 57 years of marriage. They made their home in McIntosh, Minnesota where they operated the Lanman Oil Company for 30 years. During WW II Lillian traveled to Portland/Vanport, Oregon where she was employed at the Boeing Shipyards. Lillian was a dedicated Homemaker, Nursing home caregiver, and always filling in where ever needed. She enjoyed fishing, dancing, walking, traveling, and organizing "Kiddie Parades." After retirement she and Arnold traveled throughout the United States, Asia and Europe. Mom truly treasured many lovely friendships and "never met a stranger".... finding joy in each and every day.On Friday, May 27, 2016 Lillian Helene (Bjelke) Lanman passed away peacefully at Ruth Home in Hastings, MN at the age of 100 years.Survivors include two daughters, Abby Ann Lanman, Seattle, Washington and LaRae (Harold) Kaupang, Hastings Minnesota; two grandchildren, Michelle (Richard) Kirk and Ross (Tracy) Kaupang; five great-grandchildren, Maelyn, Henry, Noah, Eli and Brennen. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Arnold (1996) and one brother, Bjorn Bjelke.
