Marge Bolme, age 87, of Fosston, MN, passed away on Sunday, November 13th, at Essentia Health Hospital in Fosston. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 19th, at Hope Lutheran Church in Fosston with Pastor Seth Johnson officiating. Interment will be in Hope Lutheran Cemetery, Fosston. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the church. Arrangements are with Carlin Family Funeral Service of Fosston. Marjorie Ann Bolme (Disrud) was born February 25, 1935, to Melvin and Alice (Miller) Disrud of rural Fosston, Minnesota. She attended the Oakland Grade School and graduated from Fosston High School. She was baptized and confirmed at Vernes Lutheran Church.
Marge married Don Bolme on June 19, 1954. They raised their family of five children on their farm in rural Gully. Amidst working on the farm, Marge became a Teacher’s Aid in Gully for a few years and totally loved it. Of course, she always loved children and made many good friends at that job. After the Gully school job, she worked as Bookkeeper for the Fosston High School for over twenty years. She made friends with students and teachers alike and loved that job also.
They have fourteen grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. They were members of Zion Lutheran Church for 27 years and members of Hope Lutheran Church since 1981.
Marge passed away at Essentia Hospital in Fosston on November 13, 2022, at the age of 87 years.
She is survived by children, LaRae (Harold) Gustafson of Reynolds, ND, Daniel (Lynn) Bolme of Lakeville, MN, Karyn Bolme of Annandale, MN, David (Paula) Bolme of St. Michael, MN, and Jodell Stangler (Jessie Penrose) of Rochester, MN; grandchildren and great grandchildren; sister, Donna (John) Peterson; and brothers, Dellas (Vi) Disrud and Tim (Denise) Disrud; sisters-in-law, Sharon (Entrip) Syverson and Beverly Bolme; brothers-in-law, Harold Bale and Ron Juve; and many nieces and nephews.
Marge was preceded in death by her husband, Don, in 2015; her parents, Melvin and Alice Disrud; sister, Janice Juve; brother, Gordon Disrud; two nephews, Brian Peterson and Loren Juve. Also, in-law parents, Harold and Lena Bolme; sisters-in-law, Beverly Bale, LaVerne Schmidt; and brothers-in-law, DeWayne Bolme and Otto Schmidt.
Marge will always be remembered by her outgoing personality and her love of friends, family and especially children. Blessed be her memory.
