Mary Hilliard

Mary Hilliard, age 66, of Fosston, MN and formerly Lengby, MN, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, October 27th, at her home in Fosston. A graveside service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, November 8th, at Fridhem Lutheran Cemetery, rural Lengby, with the Rev. Janelle Hennager officiating. A time for visiting and a bite to eat will be held after the graveside service at Fridhem Lutheran Church in Lengby. Mary Beth Hilliard was born on September 30, 1959, in Fosston, Minnesota to parents Milton and Beatrice (Rime) Hilliard. She was baptized and confirmed at Fridhem Lutheran Church in Lengby, Minnesota. She grew up in Lengby and graduated from Fosston High School in 1977. After high school, Mary attended nursing school in Grand Forks. She worked for Altru Health for over 40 years until her retirement. She resided for most of her life in Lengby with a few years living in Crookston.

Mary enjoyed crafting, reading and visiting with her friends and an occasional trip to Las Vegas.

Survivors include her sister, Marilyn Smith of Lengby; brother, Larry (Sue) Hilliard of Stacy, MN; three nieces, Jodi Hanson, Rhonda (Terry) Nelson, Lana (Travis) Huemann; nephew, Darin Miller; and several great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother-in-law, Don Smith.

She was loved by so many and will be missed by all who knew her.
