Teri Freyholtz, age 52, of Bejou, MN, passed away at Hospice of the Valley in Surprise, AZ after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Funeral services will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 20th, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Bejou with the Rev. Gordon Syverson officiating. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at the church. Covid-19 precautions will be observed and masks use is required. Teri Jo Freyholtz was born on September 25, 1968 in Redwood Falls, Minnesota to parents Eugene and Ruth (Warner) Freyholtz. Teri spent the first 10 years of her life in Redwood Falls until moving to the family farm in Bejou, Minnesota. She graduated from Fosston High School in 1987.After she graduated from high school, she moved to Warroad, Minnesota and worked at Marvin Windows. In 1992, she welcomed her first-born son, Tyler, followed by two daughters, Jenna in 1995, and Shanna in 1997. After Jenna was born she moved back to the family farm in Bejou where she spent most of her time doing baking and canning that she would sell along with her Tastefully Simple at local craft shows and farmer's markets.In 2009, she was diagnosed with cervical cancer. Over the next 11 years she did treatments but never gave up or lost her will to fight and beat the disease.In September of 2019, her first grandson, Dakotah, Jr. was born. She loved and adored him very much. In December of 2019, she moved to Arizona to have the support of her daughter Jenna and sister Lori as things started to get difficult for her. Teri always loved to cook, bake and make donuts with her cousin, Charlotte. She loved all her animals especially her dog, Blissy, who also moved to Arizona. We will always remember her smile and strength to fight. She will be greatly missed by many.Survivors include her three children, Tyler Freyholtz of Fargo, ND, Jenna (Jim) Caneda of Glendale, AZ, Shanna (Dakotah Moose, Sr.) Carlton and one grandson, Dakotah Moose, Jr., all of Bejou, MN; sister, Lori Lindseth (fiancé, Shamon Ingram) and one niece, Nikita Beard, all of Peoria, AZ; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Ruth and Eugene Freyholtz; grandparents, Raymond and Ethel (Bleick) Freyholtz, and Walter and Mabel (Marshall) Warner.Active Pallbearers: Jim Caneda, Dakotah Moose Sr, Shamon Ingram, Loren Zahnow, Terry McCollum, and David Lhotka.
