Vi Kjensmo, age 87, of rural Bagley, MN, passed away on Thursday (May 31st) at her home. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday (June 4th) at the Carlin-Hoialmen Funeral Home in Fosston with the Rev. John Dalen officiating. Friends may call for one hour prior to the service on Monday at the funeral home. Arrangements are with the Carlin-Hoialmen Funeral Home of Fosston. Sympathy messages may be sent at www.carlinhoialmen.com.Helen Viola (Rouland) Rauer Kjensmo was born on December 9, 1919 in Gonvick, Minnesota to parents Tov and Annie (Brekker) Rouland. She grew up on a farm near Gonvick and graduated from Gonvick High School. After high school, she attended beautician school in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.She was united in marriage to Paul Rauer and they lived in the Detroit, Michigan area for many years. Following their retirement, they moved back to the area. Paul passed away in 1992.Vi was married to Orville Kjensmo on February 4, 1994 and they resided in Fosston, McIntosh and Clearbrook, Minnesota. Vi was currently living in rural Bagley with her daughter and her family. She liked to play cards, visit with friends and family, baking, picnics and loved to travel.Vi passed away on Thursday, May 31, 2007 at her home surrounded by her family at the age of 87 years.Survivors include her daughter, Karen (Terry) Bonkowski of Bagley; three grandchildren, Terren Jae (Ivan) Skripnik of Michigan, Clint (Connie) Bonkowski of Michigan, and Kendall Fawn Bonkowski of Fargo, ND; nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives also survive.She was preceded in death by her husbands, Paul Rauer and Orville Kjensmo; her parents; stepson, Charles Rauer; and 11 brothers and sisters.
