William Albrecht, age 83, of Fosston, MN, passed away on Wednesday, October 28th, at Essentia Health Hospital in Fosston. Interment and military honors will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 31st at Maple Hill Cemetery, rural Clearbrook. A memorial service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Clearbrook with Pastor Verlyn Strenge officiating. Arrangements are with Carlin Family Funeral Service of Fosston and messages of condolence may be shared at www.carlinfuneral.com. William Max Albrecht was born on August 15, 1937 in Wendell, Minnesota to parents Fred and Elsie (Jens) Albrecht. He lived in Missouri for twenty years where he met his future wife, Margaret. They were married on May 8, 1964 in Missouri. Bill served his country in the United States Army from August of 1961 until his honorable discharge in 1967. They moved to Queen Township, rural Fosston, Minnesota in 1978 where they farmed and raised their family. He was a farmer and a carpenter for all of his life. Bill also loved to travel. He and Margaret were blessed to have been able to take many trips during their life together. Bill and Margaret also enjoyed going to church for many years at the Fosston Baptist Church and then First Baptist Church in Clearbrook. He had been an active member in both of his church homes over the years until he started having some health issues. Bill entered McIntosh Senior Living in January of 2016.Bill passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 28, 2020 at Essentia Health Hospital in Fosston at the age of 83 years.Survivors include his loving wife of 56 years, Margaret; son, Matthew (Shannon) of Fosston; and daughter, Monica of Fosston; grandchildren, Clara Albrecht, Eli Albrecht, Senora Albrecht, Malachi Albrecht, and Kimber Beier.Also surviving is a sister, Ag Scholer of Alexandria, MN; sisters-in-law, Norma Albrecht of Nebraska, Marilyn Albrecht of Missouri; sisters and brothers-in law, Alvena and Robert Wernert and Fran and Randy Wyatt, all of Missouri; and many nieces and nephews scattered in several states.He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Gordon Albrecht and Fred Albrecht.
