Carl Jerome Weberg was born in Trail, MN on October 26, 1932, to Art and Emma (Tollefson) Weberg. He was the youngest of five children. Carl was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith and a member of Sand Valley Lutheran Church. He attended school in Trail and was a farmer his entire life.  He was a hard worker, raised cows and sheep and was very proud of his well-fed cattle. He loved to take drives around the area to see all the other fields and animals. Carl served on the Trail Community Council for a few years.

Carl’s favorite time of year was deer hunting season. For 40 plus years his nephews, who called him “Uncle Bud”,  came for the weekend for the big hunt! He looked forward them coming every year and was always sad when the season ended and everyone went home.  Carl enjoyed listening to the Minnesota Twins and Vikings but the Twins were his favorite.  He loved listening to old time music on the radio and back in the day he enjoyed a waltz or two. He enjoyed when his niece and nephew brought him and his sister to Branson, MO.  He was really surprised at how big and windy the hills were there.

Carl spent the last two years of his life at Poplar Meadows in McIntosh.  He loved being there and referred to Poplar as one big family. He recently had a birthday at Poplar Meadows and even won the Fosston Dairy Queen cake.  He received many cards and wishes; he had a good birthday!

He is survived by his nieces and nephews, Doyle (Lois) Heden of ND, Debra (Dave) Haugen of MN, Gary (Barb) Weberg of TX, Scott (Renee) Weberg of CA, Pamela Field of NM, and Tom Wiberg (Cheryl) of WI; and many great nephews and great nieces and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Art and Emma, his brothers Mervin, Ervin and Donald, and his sister Bernice Lorentzson.

Pallbearers will be Dave Haugen, Joel Haugen, Kelly Haugen, Doyle Heden, Gary Olson and Bob Olson

Blessed be his memory.
