Elaine Frappier, age 94, of Erskine, MN, passed away on Friday, October 15th, at the Pioneer Memorial Care Center in Erskine. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 22nd, at the Carlin Funeral Home in Erskine with the Rev. Michael Sletto officiating. Family will greet friends for one hour prior to the service on Friday at the funeral home. Elaine Imogene Hanson Frappier was born on May 1, 1927, in Portland, North Dakota to parents Clarence and Ida Norah (Kensrud) Hanson. She attended rural school near Plummer, Minnesota (Hazel, MN) and graduated from Plummer High School.
During her life, Elaine was married and widowed three times. She was married to Ray Evenson, Alfred Walter and Paul Frappier. She lived and worked most of her life in the Plummer area with short stays in Missouri and Mayville, North Dakota. She was currently a resident of the Pioneer Memorial Care Center in Erskine.
Elaine was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Erskine. She enjoyed reading, doing handiwork (crocheting) and going to her cabin on Lake Sarah, near Erskine. Most of all she loved spending time with her great grandchildren, and especially enjoyed spending time with her local great grandchildren, Chloe, and Jayden. She will be dearly missed.
Survivors include one son, Larry (Kathy) Evenson of Garden City, MO; grandchildren, Nicole Hetherington, Nick Evenson, Natalie Ford, Shane (Jennifer) Carlson, and Sherry (Dan) Happe, and their children, Robert and Rachel; several great grandchildren; brother, Eldon “Sonny” (Arlene) Hanson of Minneapolis, MN; cousins, Lila Jean (Rod) Gunderson of Erskine, and Laurie (Mark) Coleman of Erskine. Numerous other cousins and relatives also survive.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands; daughter, Linda Carlson; grandson, Stanley Olson; and brother, Elwood Hanson; and nephew, Shawn Hanson.
