Glendine Rudell Benson was born on January 2, 1943, in Rockford, Illinois to parents Arthur and Clara Kurth. She grew up and attended school in the Rockford area.

She was married to George Benson on June 10, 1966. After their marriage, they lived in many places throughout the country and world during George’s military career. George and Glendine bought a dairy farm near Trail, Minnesota in 1975. They sold the farm in 1987 and moved to Thief River Falls until 1990. When George retired, they moved to Arizona, where they resided until 2016 when they returned to the area, and purchased a home south of Gully in Olga township.

During her years in the area, Glendine was an LPN at the Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Clearbrook and Johnson Rest Home in Thief River Falls.

She was a member of Hope Lutheran Church in Fosston and was active in the Church choir.

Glendine also loved to read, work on crafts, cooking delicious meals and traveling.  Most of all, she cherished the time could spend being surrounded by her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a most kind-hearted person and her faith was very important to her.

She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, George Benson, of rural Gully; her sister Karen Watson (Tennessee)

Son - Alton Davidson (Arkansas), daughter Tasha Welch (Wisconson), son - Thomas Benson (Minnesota), and daughter  Tabetha  Aranda (Arizona).

Grandchildren: Krista Klobuchar, Amara Thompson, Alyssa Benson,  Tyler Lundeen, Chelsea Olson, Casandra  Anderson, Leah Chavez and eight great grand children.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Clara Kurth, her sister Glenda Doyle and her son Timothy (Anderson) Benson.

She was loved deeply by her family and will be greatly missed.
